● Using herbal mixtures or unapproved medications excessively 
● Delaying treatment for infections or other health problems 

 

Avoiding these habits and making healthier choices can help keep your kidneys healthy and reduce the risk of kidney disease. 

 

Signs and symptoms 

 

Common Signs and symptoms of kidney disease include:

● Swelling of the feat, ankles, or face 
● Fatigue and weakness 
● Frequent urination especially at night 
● Loss of appetite 
● Difficulty concentrating 
● Persistence Nausea and vomiting

 

 

The importance of Regular health check-ups 

 

Regular health check-ups play an important role in detecting kidney disease early. Many people with kidney disease do not experience symptoms until the condition has become serious. Routine medical examinations can help identify problems before they worsen, allowing for early treatment and better health outcomes. Regular check-ups are especially important for people with diabetes, high blood pressure, or family history of kidney disease.

In other to keep a healthy kidney there are certain healthy Lifestyle one must follow, they include:

● Drinking enough water daily 
● Eating a balanced diet 
● Reduce Excessive salt intake 
● Exercise regularly 
● Maintain a healthy weight 
● Avoid smoking 
● Monitor blood pressure and blood sugar levels 
● Go for regular medical check-ups
