In Nigeria some schools offer BPT which is a 5-year undergraguate programme via utme and 4 years through direct entry. meanwhile, others offer DPT (DOCTOR OF PHYSIOTHERAPY) which turns out to be a 6-year undergraduate programme via utme and this requires A-must have credit passes in the 5 compulsory core sciences  and General subjects (chemistry, physics, biology, English and mathematics) also a reasonable score of 240 and above in the Joint admission and matriculation board exams (jamb). However,it is  5 years through the direct entry programme,this is possible after a degree in any of the courses in school of basic medicine (Human physiology, Anatomy, biochemistry) and you desire to do something more professional.

Physiotherapist are allowed to do their internships in teaching hospitals, General hospitals and specialist hospitals too. 

2. NYSC: 




this is a must do for every Nigerian graduate whether in the medical field or not, you're to complete a 1-year NYSC service. For physiotherapist, your PPA would be a hospital.

3. CHOOSE A SPECIALTY: 




Becoming a specialist in your desired Field puts you on a better edge, because you can handle critical cases, so choosing a speciality e.g orthopaedics, pediatrics etc can fetch you more money.
